DENVER -- Brett Anderson left Friday nights game before he wanted to. Authentic Denis Savard Jersey . Still, he was a winner for the first time in 15 months. Anderson pitched effectively into the seventh inning before a blister ended his night and the Colorado Rockies beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-1. "Its good. Your goal when you pitch is to win the ballgame and its been a while," he said. "Its pretty satisfying, especially my first win in the National League. Hopefully Ill get on a roll here." Carlos Gonzalez homered and Josh Rutledge had two hits and drove in four runs for Colorado, which has won consecutive games for just the second time in the last six weeks. The Rockies are 16-40 since May 20 but they cooled off the Pirates, who entered Friday 44-29 since starting the season 10-18. Not every Colorado player left Coors Field in a good mood. Third baseman Nolan Arenado was removed from the game after he failed to run hard to first on a grounder to the mound in the fourth. Pirates starter Charlie Morton bobbled the ball but was able to get Arenado, who jogged at the start before hustling to try and beat the throw. "We talk a lot about playing the game hard, playing the game right and how important that is, especially when youve been getting your (butt) kicked for a while. Its even more important. Its imperative," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "I just felt Nolan didnt meet that standard at that point. Nolans a great kid. Hes a great player. Thats how I saw it." Anderson (1-3) had not won since beating Houston on April 7, 2013, in his last start for Oakland. He spent four months on the disabled list and moved to the As bullpen when he returned. He was winless in three April starts for Colorado before a broken left index finger put him on the shelf for 81 games. Friday was his third start since coming back and he allowed just two hits in 6 1-3 innings before a blister began to develop on his left index finger "I noticed it in the bottom of the sixth and then I started throwing some breaking balls there in the seventh and it kind of caught," Anderson said. "Hopefully got it before thing (turns) major. It didnt break open and they drained it. I dont foresee it being a problem." He left the game with a 1-0 lead after walking Russell Martin for the third time. "My stuff is getting better and better and my velocity is coming back," Anderson said. "... The offence showed up tremendously." Tommy Kahnle came on and got the last two outs of the seventh and the Rockies broke it open in the bottom of the inning off Morton (5-10). Ben Paulsen and Wilin Rosario led off with consecutive doubles and DJ LeMahieu singled. Ernesto Frieri relieved Morton and pinch-hitter Drew Stubbs bounced a grounder over the pulled-in infield for an RBI double. An intentional walk to Charlie Blackmon loaded the bases and Rutledge cleared them with a double to centre. "He pitched a good ballgame through six and the seventh got away from him," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said of Morton. "Frieri came in and wasnt able to quite execute the pitches he needed to so they piled up seven on us." One out later Gonzalez hit his 10th homer of the season to make it 8-0. "It was nice to see our offence but it was even better to see the way we pitched tonight," Gonzalez said. "Anderson gives us a big shot to win this game." The Rockies nearly pulled off a triple play in the fifth after Neil Walker led off the inning with Pittsburghs first hit of the game. With runners on first and second, Jordy Mercer hit a sharp grounder to third baseman Charlie Culberson, who stepped on the bag but his throw to second pulled Rutledges foot off the base. Rutledges relay to first got Mercer, and after a 3-minute, 16-second review the call at second was confirmed. NOTES: Walker has reached base in 22 straight games. Its the longest active streak in the majors. ... Members of the Manchester United Football Club visited with Rockies players during batting practice. ... Pirates 3B Pedro Alvarez was not in the starting lineup for the third straight game because of left knee discomfort. He pinch-hit in the seventh and stayed in the game. ... Rockies RHP Christian Bergman (broken left hand) will pitch in a rehab start in Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday. ... Pirates RHP Gerrit Cole (right lat soreness) will start at Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday. ... Rockies manager Walt Weiss said LHP Franklin Morales will get the start Sunday. Authentic Jan Rutta Jersey . PETERSBURG, Florida – Heading into Thursday nights action, Dioner Navarro had caught 14 innings combined from starters Drew Hutchison and Mark Buehrle. Authentic Brandon Saad Jersey . -- Keith Aulie has joined the Tampa Bay Lightning. http://www.cheapblackhawksjerseysauthentic.com/ . - A Tuesday funeral is planned in Toronto for 20-year-old Saginaw Spirit forward Terry Trafford.Richard Boxall looks back on the third day of the British Masters and feels Alex Norens sky-high confidence will lead him to his third European Tour victory of the season at The Grove. Alex Noren was excellent today. A 65 with no bogeys, although he had to work quite hard to save par a few times. Hes had two wins already this year and is up to ninth on the Race to Dubai, so hes full of confidence. Alex Noren is so full of confidence, he will be tough to catch on Sunday Armed with a three-shot lead going into the final round, hell be a heavy favourite to pick up win number three. The way hes playing, hes not going to come back to the field. So for anybody to catch up with him, theyre going to have to go very low on Sunday. Richard Bland is three back, and theres a bunch of guys on 12 under that, realistically, need to shoot at least a 67 to have any chance. I cant see Noren being over par for his final round. The chasing pack will hope he makes a few mistakes, but the way hes been playing, I cant see it. Noren had to work hard for a few pars on occasion, but he finished with three birdies in four holes The opening hole is a reasonably short par-four, and the second is a very reachable par-five which has been the second-easiest hole this week, playing to an average of 4.6. If he gets through those in one under, hell be well set.Graeme McDowell made a great move today, three straight birdies around the turn and all of a sudden he was one off the lead. But he struggled to get the ball close to the hole after that and it puts a lot of pressure on your putting. And when he did hit it close, he didnt take advantage. Graeme McDowell had a purple patch around the turn, but a three-putt bogey at the last was damaging It was a shame to take the gloss off a good day by three-putting the last to drop a shot, but saving par is tricky when you knock it in the bunker up the 18th.G-Mac is now six behind and its a massive ask to come back from there.Lee Westwood is one shot better off, but hell need to get off to a flyer to put the pressure on. If he, or anyone else on 10 on 11 under, can get to four under after six or seven holes, theres still a chance. Watch NOW TV Watch Sky Sports for just £6. Authentic Dylan Sikura Jersey. .99. No contract. The crowd following the last group today was huge, mainly because Andrew Johnston was among them. He started the day one off the lead, but unfortunately he just had one of those days. He was two over after six holes and had to wait until the 11th before he got his first birdie, but then he double-bogeyed the next.Beef got round in 73 and hes now eight shots behind, so Id be shocked if he came away from here with a win. But hes still living up to his reputation, and he remains a firm favourite with the fans. Beef was still smiling despite a disappointing 73 And despite having a poor round, he was still happy to take part in the live Masterclass afterwards, and that shows what kind of character he is.Marcel Siem is 89th on the Race to Dubai after a disappointing season, but what a finish from him today. Five under for the last six holes for a 65 threw him into the mix. Hes five behind, but its always tough to follow up a great round with another. When you finish like that, you just want to carry on playing straight into round four. But Norens finish was almost as impressive, with birdies at 15, 17 and 18 rounding off a superb day for the Swede.Highlight of the dayNorens second shot to the 12th was incredible. Horrible stance in the bunker, ball way above his feet, water short of the green, but he knocked it to 15 feet. And that was moments after he had seen Beef put his second in the drink. Norens second to the 12th was one of the shots of the tournament Im not sure there would be too many players who would have taken that shot on to be honest. When youre standing on a slope in the sand, if your feet move just a bit through the shot, it goes very wrong. That shot was brilliant, and a measure of Norens strength, and also his confidence right now. For me, it looks very likely that hell be picking up win number three of the year on Sunday. You can watch Liverpool v Man Utd, plus Englands tour of Bangladesh and the British Masters on Sky Sports.
